LawFuel.com – Business Law – The international law firm Clifford Chance advised Springer Science & Business Media, Berlin, on the sale of its construction information division, B2B Construction, to the UK-based private equity investor GMT Communications Partners Limited.
The deal is still subject to approval from the relevant antitrust authorities. The parties have agreed not to disclose any details of the purchase price.
Springer Science & Business Media is the world’s second largest STM publisher (Science, Technology, Medicine) and the leading business-to-business publisher in the German-language area. Springer’s B2B Construction division provides information to the construction industry in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Central and Eastern Europe. The division employs 800 people and in 2006 generated sales of nearly EUR 80 million.
