LAWFUEL – Prison is not the only problem Paris Hilton has on her plate at present, she has also been hit by a plagiarism lawsuit relating to her debut single ‘Stars Are Blind’.

The Sparta Florida Music Group are suing V2 Music Publishing, claiming that Hilton’s track is a rip-off of UB40’s classic song ‘Kingston Town’.

The charges claim that substantial parts of the song were reproduced in order to form the basis of Hilton’s track, Digital Spy reports.

‘Kingston Town’ was written and released in 1989 by Kendrick Patrick, and is one of UB40’s most renowned tracks.

Sparta Florida is reportedly to rely on evidence from a musicologist and articles written on the internet to prove the breach of copyright.
