Danny Simmons, Diana Chang and Mark Pistilli are suing John Atanaskovic, Tony Hartnell and Daniel Farrugia, with the case to have its maiden run this morning.
Turns out attempts to wind up the breeding business that was part of the Atanaskovic Hartnell business have led to a disagreement on details of the wind-up and the terms of the appointment of liquidator Max Donnelly.
The breakaways bolted from Atanaskovic Hartnell in July last year after Atanaskovic, the majority equity holder, bought them out.
Some details of the horse-breeding venture have already found their way into court after Tony Hartnell challenged a Tax Office assessment of claims against million of dollars in expenses relating to the venture.
Hartnell’s horse breeding efforts have had some notable highlights: like selling to a taxi driver for $1000 a nag called Takeover Target which went on to win more than $3 million.
