LAWFUEL – The Law Newswire – Madeleine McCann’s father has stormed out of an interview with a Spanish television journalist after he asked about blood found in the couple’s holiday apartment.

News.com reports that Gerry McCann ripped off his microphone, berated the Telecino television presenter Jordi Gonzalez and stormed out of the room, leaving Maddie’s mother Kate, to stare at the empty chair next to her.

Four-year-old Madeleine McCann vanished from her bed n the Portuguese village of Praia de Luz 117 days ago while her parents ate with friends at a nearby restaurant. Despite worldwide appeals, there has been no sign of the child.

The McCanns have so far remained composed and dignified in their search. But it seems the strain is finally starting to show publicly.

Mr Gonzalez spent an hour interviewing the couple at their rented villa in Praia de Luz. After asking some general questions he said: “You were the last people to see Madeline alive, is that correct?”

Mr McCann replied: “That’s part of the investigation and we are not going to divulge anything that might get in the way of the investigation.”

Mr Gonzalez then turns to the matter of blood traces found in the apartment by sniffer dogs. The samples are currently being DNA tested in Britain. It is not yet known who the blood belongs to.
He asks: “The investigation took a new turn earlier this month when traces of blood were discovered in the room. When you heard that, how did you react?”
