Sandhya Drew, a barrister at Tooks Chambers, represented John Reaney in his successful claim against the Hereford Diocese of the Church of England that he had been unlawfully discriminated against by the Bishop because of his sexual orientation. In delivering its landmark judgment, the tribunal said that the case would be listed for a remedy hearing and Mr Reaney is expected to be awarded substantial damages. The Bishop is considering whether to appeal.
