LAWFUEL – The lawyers of actor Sanjay Dutt, presently lodged in Yeravada jail, arrived at the special TADA court on Wednesday with the order of the Supreme Court granting him interim bail. The lawyers hope that he will be released from Yerawada jail in Pune by Wednesday evening.
Dutt’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde arrived with the order here and is expected to complete the legal formalities before obtaining the actor’s release.
The Supreme Court had on Monday granted Dutt, sentenced to six years rigorous imprisonment for illegal possession of arms, and five others interim bail until they received the copy of the judgement from the TADA court.
Dutt was convicted under the Arms Act by the special TADA court that conducted the trial in the 1993 serial blasts case for illegal possession of an AK-56 assault rifle and a pistol.
