LAWFUEL – The Legal Newswire – Litigator Weston C. Loegering has joined the Dallas office of international law firm Jones Day as a partner.

Formerly a partner with Hughes & Luce, Mr. Loegering has a diverse practice representing clients in complex federal and state civil and criminal litigation, including those involving agencies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Internal Revenue Service and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). His typical cases have involved white collar crime defense and government investigations; SEC investigations and securities litigation; and class actions.

A graduate of Georgetown University (J.D., 1981; Articles and Notes Editor, American Criminal Law Review) and Harvard University (A.B., magna cum laude, 1977), Mr. Loegering is admitted to practice in Texas and Minnesota, in the U.S. District Court, Northern, Eastern, Southern, and Western Districts of Texas and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit, and in the U.S. Tax Court and U.S. Supreme Court.
