LAWFUEL – The UK Law Newswire – A team from Charles Russell LLP has advised Yamana Gold Inc. on its move from AIM to the main market of the London Stock Exchange, by way of a secondary listing, which took place today, 12 June. Yamana is the first gold mining company to graduate from AIM to the Official List.

Yamana is a Canadian gold producer with significant gold production, gold development stage properties, gold exploration properties and land positions in Brazil, Argentina and Central America. The company is listed on the Toronto and New York stock exchanges, as well as London.

On admission, the market capitalisation of Yamana was approximately £2.4billion.

The Charles Russell team advising Yamana was led by Simon Gilbert (Head of Corporate Finance), working with Adam Carling and Ruth Morrow. The team worked with Yamana Gold’s Canadian lawyers Cassels Brock and Blackwell LLP (Mark Bennett, Andrea Fitzgerald and Sofia Tsakos).
