LAWFUEL – The UK Law Newswire – London-based law firms Allen & Overy (A&O), Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Linklaters have won places on the UK Government’s new Catalist super panel, the replacement for L-Cat, ‘The Lawyer’ reports.
The firms were lured by Catalist’s new high-paying £100m-plus ‘major projects’ sub-panel, known as Lot 8, having previously snubbed the low rates of L-Cat.
Other top firms to have won places on the major projects list include Eversheds, Herbert Smith, Lovells, Pinsent Masons, Simmons & Simmons, Slaughter and May and Wragge & Co.
A&O has also won a place on the other major group, the ‘full commercial’ sub-panel, or Lot 7, which qualifies it for work in any of the six preceding groups: IT and telecoms, property and estates construction, employment and pensions, corporate and finance and IP.
Other firms to have won places in both include Burges Salmon, Denton Wilde Sapte, Eversheds, Field Fisher Waterhouse, Norton Rose, Pinsents, Simmons and Wragges.
CMS Cameron McKenna has been dumped from its second major public sector panel in a month after missing out on a place on the Scottish Executive panel in May.
