LAWFUEL – UK Law News – Holman Fenwick & Willan (HFW) is pleased to announce that David Brookes has joined the firm as a partner in the London office. David is a ship finance specialist and was previously a senior assistant at Stephenson Harwood. His arrival brings to eleven the number of partners specialising in ship finance in the firm’s London office and is part of the continuing development of HFW’s marine commercial capability which, in the past two years, has included the recruitment of John Forrester and three assistants from Stephenson Harwood and Mark Wandless from P&O.
David has extensive experience in shipping (including offshore) finance transactions and general corporate lending, acting for banks and financial institutions as well as ship owners and other corporations on a wide range of transactions including syndicated loans, tax leasing, sale and leasebacks, ship sale and purchase and joint ventures.
Roderic O’Sullivan, HFW’s senior partner, said, “I am delighted that David has chosen to join us. He is the latest in a line of significant recruits to join our ship finance team and will add further strength to this team, particularly on the banking side which we have developed considerably in the last couple of years.”
