Firm continues to Strengthen its IP Capabilities as its Focus in the Advanced Media and Technology Industry Grows

NEW YORK, August 6, 2008 – Loeb & Loeb LLP announced today that Tamara “Tami” Carmichael has joined the firm’s New York office as a partner in the Intellectual Property Litigation Group and will work closely with the firm’s rapidly expanding Emerging Media and Advertising and Promotions Practice Groups. The addition of Ms. Carmichael’s experience is integral to the firm’s commitment to expanding its depth and breadth of services to its advanced media and technology clients, a core industry focus for the firm.

Ms. Carmichael regularly provides counsel to and litigates on behalf of clients in the areas of trademarks, copyrights, patents, trade dress, false advertising, counterfeiting, unfair competition and other intellectual property matters. She was previously a partner in the New York office of Holland & Knight LLP.

Ms. Carmichael handles all stages of trademark and copyright prosecution and has experience in NAD dispute resolution. She oversees trademark clearance and domestic and foreign portfolios related to a myriad of goods and services. Ms. Carmichael also negotiates and prepares documents and agreements for transactions related to licensing, marketing and business development, ownership in and transfer of intellectual property and business rights, software, joint ventures, and matters related to the Internet.

Ms. Carmichael earned her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law where she was Articles and Comments Editor for the University of Miami Entertainment and Sports Law Review and on the Executive Board for the University of Miami Business Law Journal from 1990-1992. She earned her B.A. from Stetson University.
