The Tony Awards Administration Committee announced that Loeb & Loeb partner Seth Gelblum will receive the 2016 Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre. These annual honors celebrate individuals and/or organizations that have demonstrated extraordinary achievement in theatre, but are not eligible in the established Tony Award categories.

Gelblum, who chairs Loeb & Loeb’s Theatre Practice, will be honored along with master vocal coach Joan Lader, and costume shop proprietor Sally Ann Parsons.

“We are thrilled to announce that Seth Gelblum, Joan Lader and Sally Ann Parsons are this year’s recipients for the Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre. Broadway as we know it would not be the same without their hard work, exemplary talents and extraordinary influence. We could not be more proud to recognize the outstanding work of these outstanding individuals,” said Heather Hitchens, President of the American Theatre Wing, and Charlotte St. Martin, President of The Broadway League.

The three honorees will be presented  with their award at the Tony Honors Cocktail Party on Monday, June 6th at the Paramount Hotel’s Diamond Horseshoe.

Gelblum focuses his law practice in the live stage, motion picture, television and documentary film areas. His clients include producers, directors, playwrights, composers, performers, music publishers, designers and investors for Broadway, Off-Broadway, touring and foreign live stage productions, as well as theatre owners, motion picture studios for live stage matters, not-for-profit theatres and licensing agencies. Among his many distinctions, Gelblum received the 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award from the playwright development workshop New Dramatists in recognition of his outstanding artistic contributions to the theatre community.
