London, 4 September 2006 – LAWFUEL – London Law News – Fried Frank announced today that Edward Kim has joined the firm as an M&A and securities partner in the London office.
Edward specialises in US and non-US M&A transactions (both public and private), corporate restructurings, public offerings, private placements and joint ventures. He joins from Ashurst.
“The increasing convergence of the US and European M&A markets requires the deployment of dual US and European capability. Ed’s expertise in both markets will be a great asset to our M&A and securities practices,” said Managing Partner Justin Spendlove.
Over the past 18 months Fried Frank has expanded its European practice to more than 80 lawyers in London, Paris and Frankfurt and has won some significant mandates. Most recently, the firm advised on the largest restructuring plan in France—advising Silver Point on its acquisition of CF Gomma Barre Thomas—and advised ntl on both its acquisition of Virgin Mobile and its merger with Telewest.
