NEW YORK – January 2, 2006 – LAWFUEL – Loeb & Loeb LLP announced today that Mark A. Shapiro has joined the New York office as a partner in the Real Estate Department. He was previously Counsel at Thelen Reid Brown Raysman & Steiner LLP.
Shapiro’s practice is focused on sophisticated transactions in office and retail leasing and subleasing on behalf of landlords and tenants; brokerage matters on behalf of landlords, tenants, and brokers; purchasers and sellers of vacant land and improved commercial and industrial properties; and lenders and borrowers in mortgage and construction. Shapiro rejoins the Commercial Real Estate Leasing Group led by Ray Sanseverino, who left Brown Raysman in August 2006 to lead that practice group at Loeb.
“Mark joins the firm at a time when our real estate practice is booming,” said Michael Beck, Co-Chairman of Loeb & Loeb LLP. “This past year we expanded our real estate practice with the addition of three Partners and two Associates from Brown Raysman, and Mark is a valuable addition to our diverse and national team.”
Shapiro received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts in 1986 where he graduated cum laude. He earned his law degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1994 where he graduated magna cum laude.
