New York–Sept. 6, 2006- LAWFUEL – Legal News Network -Daylight Forensic & Advisory LLC (www.daylightforensic.com), a leading independent fraud risk management and investigative consulting firm, today announced its continued expansion with the appointments of leading forensic technology expert Carmen Oveissi Field, and forensic auditor and independent monitor Marc Benson, as managing directors.
Prior to joining Daylight, Field was a managing director of the Atlas IPM product line at PSS Systems. Benson served as the director of forensic accounting for CA, formerly known as Computer Associates, Inc. Both managing directors will be based in Daylight’s New York headquarters.

Field is a domain expert on electronic discovery and speaks frequently to a wide range of industry groups on the topic. She will lead the forensic technology service offerings at Daylight, including e-discovery services related to forensic investigations and client preparation for litigation readiness. Field has more than 13 years of experience in information technology, with a primary focus on information management strategies, technical electronic discovery issues and the education of non-technical audiences about technological information significant to their cases.
Field holds a master’s in Information Management from the University of Washington and a bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies of Biomedical Ethics from the University of Virginia. She is a member of the ARMA International E-discovery Advisory Group, the Georgetown University CLE Advisory Board for E-discovery Institute and is active in the Sedona
Conference Working Group on Electronic Document Retention and Production.
Benson has extensive forensic accounting, fraud and audit expertise. In his role as director of forensic accounting for CA he conducted investigations and was responsible for the design and implementation of the Company’s fraud risk management program.
Benson previously served as a director in a “Big Four” accounting firm where he worked in the forensic group providing investigative, advisory and litigation services. In that role, Benson conducted fraud and abuse investigations, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance assessments of controls specifically intended to prevent, detect and respond to fraud risk, and managed the independent monitoring of debris removal from Ground Zero post 9/11. Prior to his forensic experience, he managed and performed independent financial audits of private and publicly-held companies for a “Big Four” accounting firm.
Benson earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Baruch College, and he is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Fraud Examiner. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
