BALTIMORE MD – January 3, 2013 – LawFuel Law Firm News – The law firm Ober|Kaler has elected Michael D. Beattie, Kevin P. LaTulip, Jr. and Michael A. Schollaert principals of the firm, effective January 1, 2013.
Mr. Beattie practices in Ober|Kaler’s Finance Group, where he represents lenders and lessors in a wide range of commercial finance transactions, including the financing of transportation assets such as aircraft and vessels. He is a member of the American and Maryland State Bar Associations.
Mr. LaTulip is also a member of the firm’s Finance and Real Estate Groups. He advises lenders and lessors in commercial finance transactions, including financing secured by real property assets. Mr. LaTulip also assists financial institutions with forbearance agreements and related aspects of restructuring commercial transactions. He is a member of the American and Maryland State Bar Associations and serves on the Board of Directors of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Baltimore.
Mr. Schollaert practices in Ober|Kaler’s Construction and Litigation Groups. He represents general contractors, owners, subcontractors and suppliers on private and public construction projects and also provides general litigation and complex commercial litigation representation. He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association’s Construction Law Section and the American Bar Association’s Forum on the Construction Industry. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Federal Hill Main Street in Baltimore. Mr. Schollaert has been named a “Rising Star” by Maryland Super Lawyers every year since 2009.
