Paralegals have had an increase in their salaries, according to a paralegal salary survey. The survey shows that paralegals received an increase over the 2010 year.

The survey was conducted by ALM Legal Intelligence together with the International Paralegal Management Association (the IPMA) and showed that salary increases from from 65 per cent to 87 percent in 2011 for exempt paralegal jobs, and from 70 per cent to over 90 per cent for nonexempt jobs.

The survey is good news for the paralegals who have been awaiting salary increases in line with increased work responsibilities and a need for more consistent paralegal career and education standards.
