ATLANTA (April 2) -LAWFUEL – Legal Announcements – Kilpatrick Stockton announced today that Partner Steve Baskin will serve as an instructor for Software CEO’s online seminar entitled, “Patent or Perish: A Crash Course on Patent Law,” which takes place on April 3. This event is designed to benefit software company executive management, technologists, and legal staff who have questions about the role of patents (including benefits and liability) in their industry.
Mr. Baskin is the Managing Partner of the Firm’s Washington D.C. office. He also serves on the Firm’s Diversity Council and Pro Bono Committee. He focuses his practice on representing companies in patent infringement disputes, which has included cases that involve patents related to pharmaceutical, software, electrical and business methods and is a member of both the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice and Patent Litigation team. While Mr. Baskin spends a majority of his time litigating patent infringement cases, he also has first chair litigation experience in other complex litigation cases, such as complex commercial disputes; trade secrets; and enforcement of non-compete agreements; and has experience representing and counseling individuals and large corporations in internal corporate investigations.
