New York, NY (April 28, 2008) Lawfuel – Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP, a leading international law firm, announced today that the firm represented JPMorgan, as financial advisor, in connection with the bid by Mars Inc. and Berkshire Hathaway Inc. to acquire the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company. The deal, which was announced on April 28, 2008, is valued at approximately $23 billion.
Under the terms of the agreement, Wrigley will become a separate, stand-alone subsidiary of Mars, with Berkshire holding a minority stake.
