“Curtis is one of the most respected lawyers in Silicon Valley and in venture capital circles. He has extensive experience in corporate governance matters and regularly acts as general outside counsel to public and private companies at all stages of development, particularly in the technology, life sciences, clean energy technology and consumer sectors.

“In addition to his profile in the venture capital space, Curtis brings strong relationships to the investment banking and private equity communities as well,” added Howard Clowes, a partner in Silicon Valley and head of DLA Piper’s Northern California Corporate practice. “He has a growing cross-border practice, where DLA Piper is uniquely positioned to service clients across their full spectrum of needs.”

In addition to being ranked the third most active firm for venture capital deals, according to the most recent research released by Dow Jones Private Equity Analyst, DLA Piper was the second most active for total deals in private equity and venture capital combined.
