Former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani is leaving the firm bearing his name, joining New York-based Greenberg Traurig as global chair of their cybersecurity and crisis management practice.
The former Bracewell & Giuliani LLP will henceforth be known as Bracewell, the Houston-based firm announced.
Greenberg Traurig have almost 2000 lawyers worldwide.
“After a decade in which Rudy helped us build what is now a very successful and thriving New York office, we thank Rudy and wish him our very best,” Mark Evans, Bracewell’s firmwide managing partner, said in the statement.
“Our New York office and our white collar practice will continue to have tremendous leadership through our longtime New York managing partner, Daniel S. Connolly, who joined the firm with Rudy in 2005 and has substantial prosecutorial experience.”
