September 22, 2009 (by Horatio Algren) According to reports a man working at Boeings Huntington Beach Campus was killed when he fell from a scissor lift. The man identified as 48 year old Angel Celaya a resident of Santa Ana was working in building 45 at the Boeing Campus at the time of the accident.
The building located on 5301 Bolsa Avenue according to Huntington Beach Fire Department spokesman Jeff Lopez is where the accident occurred when Celaya was on a scissor lift working on building 45. The man doing construction fell 21 feet head first into a concrete pit that was 6 feet below ground level.
According to Lopez, Celaya fell from the scissor lift at approximately 4:10 p.m. and after Huntington Beach firefighters attempted to save him he was pronounced dead a short time later.
