Toronto, Canada – GAO RFID Inc. (www.GAORFID.com) has recently released these semi-passive RFID response tags operating in the ISM frequency band of 868MHz for European use or 915MHz for North America. Using ultra-high frequency (UHF) technology, the tags communicate with either a handheld or fixed RFID reader from a distance of up to six meters. These RFID response tags are compatible with GAO RFID Inc.’s UHF RFID interrogator PC card (227001) and UHF RFID reader (227003). They offer real-time data collection for the identification, tracking, and location of assets or people.
This economical semi-passive RFID response tag series, model 137005, consumes little power enabling more than six years effective operation without battery replacement. They provide an optional LED for visual identification and a 64-byte data memory to store user and configuration information. Designed with an advanced anti-collision multi-tag-handling algorithm, this tag series allows for up to 2000 simultaneous tag identifications at a rate of 100tag/s. In addition, the RFID response tags are finished with a variety of packagings and industrial housings so that they can perform well even under harsh environments.
