Firm dominates healthcare section
BALTIMORE September 14, 2007 Ober|Kaler is pleased to announce that Expert Guides to the Leading US Lawyers – Best of the Best USA 2007 has chosen seven of the firm’s attorneys for its ranking of the most accomplished and respected lawyers in the country.
Ober|Kaler dominates the Healthcare section, which lists only thirty-one health care lawyers nationwide. With six attorneys chosen, Ober|Kaler had more than any other firm in the nation. Selected for this category were Thomas W. Coons, S. Craig Holden, Leonard C. Homer, Thomas K. Hyatt, John J. Miles, and chair of Ober|Kaler’s Health Law Group, Sanford V. Teplitzky, who, according to the publisher, received more nominations than any other health lawyer.
Ober|Kaler’s M. Hamilton Whitman, Jr., a prominent admiralty and litigation lawyer, was selected for the Shipping section.
Best of the Best USA 2007 is a guide to preeminent practitioners in various areas of law. Selection for inclusion is based upon thoroughly vetted nominations by senior practitioners and in-house counsel from all over the country. The result is a highly selective compilation of the nation’s most distinguished attorneys.
“We are proud to have been chosen for such a prestigious and selective list,” said Mr. Teplitzky. “We are particularly honored to rank among highly-regarded colleagues for whom we have great respect.”
Ober|Kaler’s health law group is one of the oldest health law practices in the country. Established more than 30 years ago, the firm is nationally recognized for its expertise and experience in successfully addressing the needs of the health care community.
The firm’s Admiralty & Maritime practice represents clients from all parts of the maritime industry in litigation and business transactions.
