will begin on Thursday, October 11, 2007, and the trial is
expected to last two weeks. Ms. Jimenez is represented by

Dabdoub, Case No. BC340236.

WHO: Plaintiff Remy Jimenez filed suit in September 2002 against
Felipe Dabdoub for sexual battery and sexual harassment,
alleging that she was the victim of a continuing series of
rapes, sexual assaults and physical abuse by Felipe Dabdoub
that lasted for approximately 13 years. She also alleges that
the Defendant failed to pay her wages or to pay her minimum
wage, among other claims, and she seeks punitive damages.

In 1992, Remy Jimenez, then age 22, was hired by the Dabdoubs
as a nanny for their newborn child to work in the Dabdoub
home, which at that time was in the Philippines where Felipe
Dabdoub was employed as a Senior Vice President for Dole
Foods. She was the live in nanny and housekeeper for the
Dabdoubs over the approximately 13 years of her employment
with the Dabdoub family, and was the primary care giver and
nanny for the Dabdoubs’ three children.

In 2001, Ms. Jimenez moved with the Dabdoubs to Westlake
Village, CA. when Felipe Dabdoub was transferred to Dole’s
corporate headquarters which are based there. Ms. Jimenez
alleges that all throughout her employment, Felipe Dabdoub
repeatedly raped, sexually assaulted and molested her, and
threatened that if she told anyone about what happened,
something bad would happen to her, she would be arrested, and
he would see to it that she would never see her family again.
He also used Remy’s love and sense of duty to his children to
compel her not to report his alleged unlawful conduct.
