TALLAHASSEE, FL – Attorney General Bill McCollum today made the
following statement regarding the passage of Senate Bill 1004:
“I commend Senate President Ken Pruitt and members of the Florida
Senate for passing Senate Bill 1004, creating the CyberCrimes Against
Children Act of 2007, a critical piece legislation that will give us
important tools in our fight against computer-facilited crimes against
children. I also want to extend my thanks to Senator Nancy Argenziano who
sponsored this important bill.
“Our children deserve the strongest measures of protection possible,
and I look forward to House Speaker Marco Rubio and the Florida House of
Representatives passing this legislation tomorrow.”
