LAWFUEL – The Legal Newswire – TressCox Lawyers is delighted to announce the appointment of Mary Snell as a Special Counsel in its Sydney office. Mary is an impressive commercial lawyer, specialising in property law as well as the sale and purchase of businesses and commercial ventures.
Mary brings to the firm significant experience in property matters including commercial and retail leasing, the purchase and sale of land and strata titled property and the compulsory acquisition of property by local government.
She acts in litigation matters that centre on commercial and transactional issues, including applications seeking injunctive relief as to easements, mediation of retail lease disputes and tenancy disputes. Mary also assists in pre-empting areas of potential dispute and advises on proposed acquisitions, development and business structures.

In addition to her extensive property expertise, Mary has also demonstrated a commitment to the legal profession throughout her career and is currently an Executive Councillor of the Law Society of NSW. Mary is currently a Chair of one of the Law Society’s Professional Conduct Sub-committees. She is also a past president of NSW Young Lawyers (NSWYL). She is a member of the NSWYL Continuing Legal Education Committee, the NSWYL Careers Committee and the NSWYL Property Law Committee. In 2002, Mary was awarded Hasting’s Business Women’s Network Corporate/Government Business Woman of the Year.
