SAN FRANCISCO (August 9, 2011) – Northern California Super Lawyers has selected two attorneys from Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps LLP for inclusion in its 2011 “Rising Stars” list. Diana Donabedian is an associate in the Commercial, Finance and Insolvency group and Jennifer Renk is a partner practicing Land Use and Environmental Law; both are located in the firm’s San Francisco office.
To be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger, or in practice for ten years or less. In addition to a general survey, an attorney-led research team reviews the credentials of potential candidates and assigns points based on a set of defined evaluation criteria. Candidates for Rising Stars do not go through peer evaluation by practice area, as they do for simultaneously-published Super Lawyers. However, up to five percent of the lawyers in the state are named to Super Lawyers, while no more than 2.5 percent are named to the Rising Stars list.
Donabedian practices in the area of bankruptcy concentrating on representation of Chapter 7 and 11 trustees, receivers, assignees for the benefit of creditors, creditors’ committees, and creditors in a broad range of bankruptcy, insolvency and workout issues.
Renk’s practice focuses on land use and environmental law, with particular expertise in the California Environmental Quality Act.
