Ultra High Frequency Long-Range Gen 2 Reader/Writer

Toronto, Canada – GAO RIFD Inc. (www.GAORFID.com) has released its ultra high frequency long-range Gen 2 reader/writer, which is designed as a single read point in a pedestal, pole, wall or ceiling mounted configuration. It uses UHF radio frequency identification technology to create an integrated automatic vehicle identification (AVI) system offering superior performance characteristics over traditional long range proximity card system. This self-contained combination RFID read/write unit is an economical solution for automatic vehicle identification and access control applications alike.
This RFID reader/writer, model 236006, operates at frequencies range of 902MHz to 928MHz. It is supported by four independent discrete TTL capable inputs for vehicle detecting loops, light curtains or other detection schemes. The reader also has four discrete 5V outputs that are current limited and electronically configurable for either push pull or external pull up resistors. Optional relay modules are available for applications requiring output voltages greater than 5V. Ethernet capability allows network access through standard Ethernet connectivity and unique Power over Ethernet (PoE) functionality.
