US Law Firm Winstead adds Brian Short to the Real Estate Structured Finance Practice Group

Dallas (April 21, 2008)Lawfuel — Brian Short, a real estate finance attorney, has joined Texas law firm Winstead PC as a shareholder. He will be located in the firm’s Dallas office, working with the Real Estate Structured Finance Practice Group in the Business & Transactions Department.

Short returns to Winstead after a short tenure at Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP where he was a partner in the firm’s capital financial markets, commercial lending and real estate development and finance groups. His practice involves a variety of commercial real estate transactions with extensive experience in fixed-income real estate finance, including representation of national CMBS lenders on financing transactions ranging from $2,000,000 to $130,000,000, allowing him to be proficient with a wide range of sophisticated issues. He has also represented national and regional lenders on construction loan transactions and clients in the sale and purchase of commercial real estate in various forms.

Short is a member of the State Bars of Texas and Indiana. He received his J.D. with honors from University of Tennessee College of Law in 1998, received his M.B.A. in finance from University of Tennessee in 1997, and received his B.S. in Engineering with highest distinction from Purdue University in 1994. He is a member of American Bar Association, Commercial Mortgage Securities Association, and Mortgage Bankers Association.
