Expands Los Angeles and Chicago Offices
January 6, 2009 – LawFuel.com – Legal Newswire – Loeb & Loeb LLP announced today that Jennifer L. Borow joined the firm’s Los Angeles office as a partner in the Corporate & Securities Department and Timothy J. Carroll joined the firm’s Chicago office as a partner in the Litigation Department.
Ms. Borow, who will be a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Media & Entertainment and Corporate & Securities Practice Groups, has 20 years experience with a broad corporate practice focusing on strategic transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions of operating businesses, joint ventures, strategic alliances, investment vehicles and financings. She primarily represents companies in the media, telecommunications, insurance and retail industries. Ms. Borow has experience counseling high net worth families transitioning closely-held businesses between generations and to third parties. Ms. Borow has handled significant transactions including acquisitions, distribution agreements, joint ventures and other transactions on behalf of many of the major studios.
Mr. Carroll focuses his practice on commercial and IP litigation matters, specifically those relating to securities fraud, misappropriation of confidential information and trade secrets, patent infringement and other business tort and consumer actions. He has experience counseling a diversified body of clients, including financial institutions, pharmaceutical companies, large retailers and a Fortune 5 company, on adopting and implementing lawfully compliant records management programs and electronic communications policies; representing clients in various ADA, commercial and privacy litigation matters; and counseling on records management and eDiscovery initiatives.

Prior to joining Loeb & Loeb, Ms. Borow acted as an independent consultant from 2006 – 2008 and prior to that was a partner at O’Melveny & Myers LLP. She earned her B.A. cum laude from Smith College and her J.D. from Yale Law School.
Mr. Carroll was previously a shareholder at Vedder Price PC after working in national politics for several years. He earned his B.A. from the University of St. Francis and his J.D. from DePaul University where he was President of the Student Bar Association, a member of the DePaul Law Review and a Fellow in the Public Interest Law Initiative.
