Strengthening Transatlantic M&A and Private Equity Capabilities
NEW YORK, NY – March 9, 2009 – O’Melveny & Myers LLP has named Ilan S. Nissan as the firmwide co-chair of its Mergers and Acquisitions Practice Group. Nissan, whose practice focuses on M&A transactions involving private equity and hedge funds, will lead the Firm’s global M&A efforts with London-based partner Greg Gilbert, who has served as a leader in the M&A Practice since 2006.

The experienced tandem of Nissan in New York and Gilbert in London enhances the Firm’s ability to advise clients on an integrated global basis on their most important transactions. About Ilan Nissan
Nissan received his undergraduate degree from The State University of New York at Albany. He received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law. His practice focuses on the representation of private equity and hedge funds and their portfolio companies in a wide array of transactions, adversarial matters, and other strategic matters.
