WASHINGTON, June 12 LAWFUEL – The Law Firm Newswire — Nationally prominent insurance coverage litigator and counselor Matthew L. Jacobs has joined Jenner & Block’s Washington, DC office as a partner in the Firm’s Litigation Department and its Insurance Litigation and Counseling Practice.

In addition to D&O insurance issues, for the past 21 years Mr. Jacobs
has handled coverage matters for corporations and individual policyholders involving general liability claims (environmental, asbestos, etc.), property damage, business interruption, errors and omissions, mortgage lending practices, mold and water damage, products liability, mutual fund late-trading and market timing lawsuits, regulatory investigations, and intellectual property.
Before joining Jenner & Block, Mr. Jacobs had led the insurance
coverage practice of the Washington, DC office of Kirkpatrick & Lockhart
Preston Gates Ellis LLP since 1989.
Prior to practicing at K&L Gates, Mr. Jacobs served as law clerk to
John W. Kern, III of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals and worked
for more than five years as an associate at Covington & Burling LLP.
