NEW YORK – November 1, 2010 – Wolf Haldenstein Adler Freeman & Herz LLP announced today that securities attorney Charles J. Hecht joins the firm as a partner. Mr. Hecht has extensive experience in securities and commodities transactional work, litigation and arbitration. He has more than 50 published decisions on cases in which he was the sole or lead counsel in areas ranging from securities and commodities fraud to constitutional and contract disputes.

Mr. Hecht is an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and COMEX. He is also the legal columnist for smartpros.com, an online newsletter for financial professionals. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Hecht was with the Division of Corporate Finance of the Securities and Exchange Commission. He received his Juris Doctorate from Yale Law School and his Bachelor’s Degree from Amherst College.
